Port Mansfield is home to a diverse population of wildlife.  No hunting is allowed within the boundaries of the Port providing animals a protected zone.  Several residents and businesses of the Port have set up feeders for the animals.  Most wildlife species have come to feel secure around Port Mansfield, making up close viewing a frequent opportunity.

The Park @ Port Mansfield is situated at the edge of Port Mansfield and next to the surrounding ranchland.  Animals come by (and through) the Park regularly on their travels between the Port and the surrounding open range.
